Parking at the Library:

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

Teen-led program. Beginner friendly computer-aided design (CAD) projects such as keychains and simple geometric models. Geared toward middle and high school students. No 3D printing during program (3D printing during open 3D lab hours only).

Learn how to make your own bath and beauty supplies with Healthy Adventures, just in time for gift-giving season! All materials provided, but are limited. For ages 13 and up.

Calling all LEGO Builders!

Put your engineering and problem-solving skills to the test by taking part in unique LEGO building challenges or let your imagination run wild and build your own special LEGO creations.

Each week's LEGO

Join us for our weekly LEGO Club program! Promoting STEAM and creativity, let your kids express their inner engineer! Designs will be displayed in the children's library stacks.

Use craft sticks, markers, and paint sticks to build your own puzzle. Then mix up the puzzle pieces and try to fit them back together correctly to recreate the picture you painted. For ages 5 and up.

Calling all LEGO builders & Crafters! Come & make a  LEGO, beautify our patio with chalk drawing, and design anything with perler beads!

Science Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Bring your ideas to life at our Mobile Maker Lab in the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library. Learn to use various programs and equipment  such as our 3D printer and die cut machine powered by Silhouette Studio.

Sugar skull decorating is a traditional activity for Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead.  Learn how to make sugar skulls and decorate one as you like.  A favorite!

Girls Who Code Club is hosting a series of classes to learn coding. The series is five weeks long and meets on a weekly bases for one hour. They will use the program Python.
