Join us every third Thursday of the month for a very special bilingual storytime. Here children will be introduced to different languages, songs, stories and fun! 

Join in as the Microphone Doctors-Music Concert we  sing, dance, and play in this special Storytime meant to encourage a love of reading and build essential early literacy skills.

Designed especially for children ages 3-5.

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

Bring the littles and come for a fun dance party and maybe a storytime!  We will dance to fun songs, use egg shakers, and dance with bubbles!

Please join us for storytime and craft every Saturday morning in the Children's Area at 10:00AM. 

Build, build BUILD!!!  Come join us for a fun filled activity on alternating Saturdays here at the Linda Vista Library.  Kids can create something unique or build skyscrapers, spaceships, and more!  Let your imagina

8 Week Ukulele and Literacy Program for Ages 3-7

NEW LOCATION: CITY HEIGHTS LIBRARY COMMUNITY ROOM

Open Adult Ballet Class 10:30am - 12:00pm

Learn how to weave with an expert textile artist from the San Diego Creative Weavers Guild!  This class is targeted to homeschooling youth ages 8+. No prior experience required, and all materials will be provided.

Join City Ballet of San Diego for "A Book and a Ballerina!" Enjoy listening to a read-aloud, hearing from a professional ballerina, and learning some basic dance steps.

Free music classes for kids by Villa Musica!

Early Childhood Music, ages 2-4, 11:30am - 12:15pm

Music Adventures, ages 5-6, 12:30 - 1:15pm 

Come and enjoy our free Zumba for Kids program for babies and toddlers. This program involves music and movement to help kids strengthen their motor skills.

LEGO Free Play: Imagine and build with LEGO! Keep your engineering and problem-solving skills sharp using the library's LEGO bricks.

Signing Storytime with Jennifer Duncan of Signs at Play is a fun event for families with young children.

Get crafty at the library every week! Each week there will be a unique craft that is fun for all ages. All supplies will be provided.

Join us on the second Saturday of every month at 12:30pm for Sign Language Storytime. Children and parents will have the opportunity to learn new signs, sing, read and play. 

For 2nd to 6th graders!

Beginner friendly computer-aided design (CAD) projects such as keychains and simple geometric models. 3D printing available during class. Open to all school aged children. No previous experience necessary. No reservations needed.

Put your engineering and problem-solving skills to the test by taking part in unique LEGO building challenges or let your imagination run wild and build your own special LEGO creations.

Join us for our weekly LEGO Club program! Promoting STEAM and creativity, let your kids express their inner engineer! Designs will be displayed in the children's library stacks.

Build a tower, bridge, or other structure out of uncooked spaghetti and marshmallows. Then place objects of different weights on top of your structure to test how strong it is! For ages 5 and up.

Join MCASD Educators for another fun-filled Art Quest Quarterly. Inspired by Esteban Cabeza de Baca’s layered paintings, create your very own iron -on patch, layered with paint pens and painter’s tape.

What’s almost as much fun as reading a great book? Talking about a great book! Join us for a monthly session where we’ll discuss the book choice for the month and do a related craft together.

Join Shelly and Tim for fun afternoons of ukulele strum along! All skill levels and ages are welcome to come and participate in this informal, weekly event. Please note that these are NOT lessons.

Youth ages 12 and up are welcome to join us to learn how to use a sewing machine.  Participants will learn the parts of a machine as well as become acquainted with tools and notions commonly used in sewing projects.
