Event Details

Join us for Star Wars Day at the Central IDEA Lab! Drop-in any time between 10 AM - 2 PM to celebrate with various maker activities. All ages welcome. While supplies last.

Schedule of projects:

  • 10:00 - 11:00: Sew felt Porg shoulder pets
  • 11:30 - 12:30: Make Star Wars-themed patchwork puzzles
  • 1:00 - 2:00: Build cardboard spinning droids

Plus: Scavenger hunt, trivia, photo ops and more. Stop by in costume to get special swag!

Want to learn about 3D designing and printing? Check out these beginner-friendly Star Wars-themed 3D printing presentations:

  • 11:00 AM: Beginner's Guide to Droid Building
  • 12:00 PM: Exploring Lightsaber Design Through TinkerCAD

These presentations will take place next to the IDEA Lab in the Wells Fargo Technology Learning Center. No registration necessary but seating is limited.

This IDEA Lab is located on the 4th floor (Room 435) of San Diego Central Library and is part of Saturday's Star Wars x Free Comic Book Day celebrations.
