Introducing...Cinema Club! A new monthly program which includes a film screening followed by a community discussion for cinephiles and movie lovers interested in having thought-provoking conversations about cinema.

 

This month's featured film is The Visitor (2007) in celebration of Welcoming Week.

 

When, in a chance encounter on a trip into New York, Walter discovers a couple has taken up residence in his apartment in the city, he develops an unexpected and profound connection to them that will change his life forever. As challenges arise for his tenants Tarek and Zainab, Walter finds himself compelled to help his new friends, and rediscovers a passion he thought he had lost long ago. 1h 44m. Rated PG-13.

 

Light refreshments provided. Held on the last Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.

 

Welcoming Week is an annual nationwide celebration that aims to affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places by bringing neighbors together. This year’s theme is “Stories We Share,” which promotes the idea that stories connect us and help build understanding.
