Introducing...Cinema Club! A new monthly program which includes a film screening followed by a community discussion for cinephiles and movie lovers interested in having thought-provoking conversations about cinema.

 

This month's featured film is Pan's Labyrinth or El Laberinto Del Fauno (2006) in celebration of Nuestra Cultura.

 

In 1944 Spain, a girl is sent to live with her ruthless stepfather. During the night, she meets a fairy who takes her to an old faun. He tells her she's a princess, but must prove her royalty by surviving three gruesome tasks.  1h 58m. Rated R (graphic violence, frightening/intense scenes, and some language).

 

Light refreshments provided. Held on the last Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm.

 

Nuestra Cultura, presented by the San Diego Public Library, is a series celebrating and recognizing the rich heritage, history, contributions and culture of our Latin American and Indigenous communities.
