OUR THEME IS: COPPER COINS.
We're half way through football season and the World Series is in full swing. Is it really November already? It may seem like we just had a meeting, but the 2nd Tuesday of the month is just a few days away. Don't forget to vote; then come on over to the library and meet us at the coin club!
Whether you have a collection of Russian Kopeks, Swedish plate money, or Early American Copper, let’s see some of your best copper coinage.
Last weekend the Heartland Coin Club held its first show in three years, and for the first time it was held in conjunction with the CSNA Southern California Symposium. With a crowded bourse floor and multiple presentations being offered throughout the day, the venue had all the trappings of a much larger convention, just without a banquet or exhibits. For a one day show, a lot was going on, and I saw a lot of deals getting done; hopefully you made a few too.
Normally, we hold nominations for officers in November, so if you feel ready to step into an officer's position, do let us know that you're willing to toss your hat into the ring. Although all officers are up for re-election, we have been operating without a Secretary this entire year, so that position remains open and you are invited to consider joining us at the front table.
