Interested in cosplay but not sure if you have the time or skills to come up with a costume? Come to our Cosplay 101: Low to No Skills Required! session where you will hear about easy entry points into the costuming world, from casual cosplay to cosplay hacks for all ages. 

After the presentation, you'll get to tour the Central IDEA Lab to learn about all the equipment you can use for your own costumes. This is an informational session only with the goal of inspiring future cosplayers to take their first steps into cosplay. 

Registration encouraged but not required.

Join us for Cosplay 102: Level Up Your Costumes! to hear about more advanced cosplay techniques and processes.

What is Cosplay? The term combines the words "costume" and "play" and is frequently seen at fan conventions, where fans dress up as different characters. Interested in cosplay but don't know where to start? Have you cosplayed before and want to learn new skills? Good news! This DIY Cosplay Series is for you! 

The Central IDEA Lab has put together workshops to help aspiring and current cosplayers learn a variety of making skills using the equipment in the IDEA Lab to create, embellish, or level up their costumes. Attend one of our informational sessions to get inspired and to meet other cosplayers.
