Welcome to Cosplay 102: Level Up Your Costumes! If you're looking to dive deeper into cosplay, this presentation will inspire and motivate you to go beyond the beginner level. Hear about planning projects from start to finish, different techniques used for costume components, and more.

Following the presentation, you'll get to tour the Central IDEA Lab to learn about all the equipment you can use for your own costumes. This is an informational session only with the goal of inspiring future cosplayers to take the next steps into the costuming world.

What is Cosplay? The term combines the words "costume" and "play" and is frequently seen at fan conventions, where fans dress up as different characters. Interested in cosplay but don't know where to start? Have you cosplayed before and want to learn new skills? Good news! This DIY Cosplay Series is for you! 

The Central IDEA Lab has put together workshops to help aspiring and current cosplayers learn a variety of making skills using the equipment in the IDEA Lab to create, embellish, or level up their costumes. Attend one of our informational sessions to get inspired and to meet other cosplayers.
