Program Description

Event Details

Members will learn and help each other how create their own dresses collection following their personal ideas and basic Fashion Illustration Knowledge to create a final project. In order to express these project students will learn technical skills such as sketching a fashion figure, sketching garments and how they fall on the body, learn how to use coloring Medias, such as: markers, color pencils, collage techniques and Digital coloring. Members will research and learn how to organize a collection from the research of trends to the creation of particular techniques used in fashion like mood boards used to express in a visual way the feel and the style of the collection. Exploration of various traditional and digital media will be analyzed in every session.

CONTENT

This Club is designed to learn general knowledge of the fashion Illustration and enjoy the fashion world through the Illustration.  The Club meetings will be held every third Thursday of the month.  Each session will be structured in short lectures and practical demonstration in order to help members the best approach to fashion Illustration:

  • Fashion Illustration and Mood Board.
  • Basic Anatomy for Fashion Illustration.
  • Digital Painting for Fashion Illustration.
  • Drawing clothes.
  • Illustrating a Prom Outfit.
  • Final Project: Making a Paper Mache Bodice and Design a Prom Outfit.


Session 1 (December 21st): Introduction and Mood Board.
Session 2 (January 18th):  Basic Anatomy for Fashion Illustration
Session 3 (February 15th): Digital Fashion Painting
Session 4 (March 15th): Drawing Clothes
Session 5 (April 19th): Design a Prom Outfit
Session 6 (May 17th ): Finishing the Prom Outfit
