Miami homicide detective, Lisa Owens, doesn’t trust other cops. After the murder of her fiancé was left unsolved, she vowed to make a difference by becoming a detective herself. Obsessed with getting killers off the streets, she buries herself in her work. When her lifelong friend is brutally murdered she launches an investigation on her own and out of her jurisdiction, which lands her in the crosshairs of the most dangerous criminal she’s ever encountered.

James Foley is the author of the Lisa Owens crime thriller series. Known for his compelling character driven narratives, he has earned consistent praise from readers and critics alike. His debut novel, Treasure Coast, is currently in development for a potential television adaptation. Based in San Diego, he is an active member of International Thrillers Writers and belongs to the national writing organization Sisters in Crime, serving on the board of the local chapter, Partners in Crime.
