Event Details

Uphill and Into the Wind recounts an odyssey that spans 5420 miles on bicycles and almost 2 months hiking in national parks. Brimming with adventure it chronicles the surprising glories of nature, the raw beauty of the land, and the ferocious grandeur of the American landscape.

David Reed has spent his lifetime studying the natural world, from his earliest days in the eastern forest, to his university training, to his travels on bicycle and on foot in the wilds of the United States. He is a landscape architect, a natural scientist, a published author and memoirist. His second book debuted last year.
