Event Details

Conscious awareness and the enduring quality of our lives depend on cognitive functions that are based on the acquisition, retention, and use of knowledge.  However, forgetting is ubiquitous and aging is inevitable. With increasing life expectancy, is age-associated memory impairment looming for most of us?  Steven de Belle, PhD will talk about memory genes and strategies for improving and keeping your memory.

Dr. Steven de Belle is a behavioral neuroscientist and STEM educator with 35 years of experience in academia, government, industry, and business.  He is the Co-founder and Managing Principal of MnemOdyssey LLC, a technology company providing memory and genomic assessment and training tools for personal, educational and workforce performance improvement; Chief Science Officer at Acrovirt LLC, a biotechnology company integrating human neural and behavioral responses to novel stimuli for biomedical and commercial applications; and Adjunct Professor in the Behavioral Neuroscience Program at the University of San Diego.
