Program Description
Event Details
This month we will be reading: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Whether you're a die-hard Swiftie superfan, a literature enthusiast, or simply curious to explore a unique intersection of music and literature, this book club is for you!
On the third Monday of each month, we'll select one book that has been referenced within Taylor Swift's lyrics and dive deep into its themes, characters, and narratives. From classic literature to contemporary novels, each book offers a fascinating glimpse into the inspiration behind some of Taylor Swift's most beloved songs.
Members are responsible for obtaining their own copies of the selected books, either via book shop or from their local libraries.
Light refreshments will be provided. Friendship bracelets welcome!
Visiting the Central Library
This hybrid program allows for virtual and in-person attendance. If you plan to attend in-person, we meet on the 5th floor of the library at the Travel Center, just to the right as you exit the bank of elevators.
Parking is underneath the Central Library, FREE with 2-hour validation. The library is one block from the Park & Market stop on the Trolley Blue and Orange lines. Bus routes 12, 901, and 929 stop right in front of the library at the 11th Avenue and K Street stop.
If you plan to attend virtually, you will receive a zoom link with your confirmation email.
NOTE: Due to our neighbors, the Padres, playing at Petco Park stadium, please be aware that the special parking rates may be in place at the time of this event. We highly recommend using public transit or to attend virtually if this will adversely affect your attendance. Thank you!
