Cygnet Theatre Page to Stage
Cygnet Theatre, in partnership with the San Diego Public Library, presents From the Page to the Stage — a free educational program that brings literature to life through the magic of live theatre.
This fun and engaging 45-minute presentation is designed to inspire a love of reading by showing how works by authors such as Cervantes, Mark Twain, and Charles Schulz can be transformed into musical theatre. Through this program, students gain a deeper appreciation of how imagination fuels both literature and the performing arts.
Audiences will enjoy dynamic “mini-shows” performed by professional musical theatre artists, featuring selections from beloved musicals based on classic literary works, including Big River, Man of La Mancha, Seussical the Musical, Wicked, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
