Join us for a lively afternoon with Blurring the Edges, featuring San Diego jazz icon Peter Sprague, joined by Fred Benedetti on guitars, Tripp Sprague on saxophone and flute, and Mack Leighton on bass. Their music blends jazz, classical, flamenco, samba, and blues influences. The group recorded two albums (Blurring the Edges and Sombra) and won Best Jazz Group at the 1994 San Diego Music Awards.

Midday Music is a free lunchtime concert series held in collaboration with Art of Elan on select Fridays throughout the year. Concerts take place in the 9th floor Shiley Special Events Suite and concertgoers are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy beautiful music and views together.
This brand-new series and partnership is dedicated to James R. Dawe, a longtime San Diego arts advocate and supporter of public libraries and is supported by Library Foundation SD.

San Diego Central Library offers visitors up to 2 hours free parking in the underground garage with a validated ticket on regular days.
The library is one block from the Park & Market stop on the Trolley Blue and Orange lines. Bus routes 12, 901 and 929 stop in front of the library entrance steps (11th Ave. / K St. intersection).
