Event Details

The Association of Women in Science invites young girls to channel their inner scientist in this interactive workshop about DNA manipulation. This hands-on event will include activities, DNA extraction, learning about cutting DNA with nucleases (restriction enzymes, Cas9,) pipetting and using electrophoresis to sort DNA by size. Sound complicated? Not to worry, we will make the learning fun! Sign up at the Logan Heights Library and join us for first of a two-part series.
