A Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) Heritage Month edition of our San Diego Oasis program series:

Middle Eastern music is integrated in the spirituality of the people. Secular forms of entertainment highlight the improvisation of solo and ensemble music. Musical instruments—both stringed and woodwind—offer a variety of sounds that enrich our ways of appreciating different timbre and tone qualities.
