Using the accounts of people who resided in San Diego during World War II, presenter Linda Canada weaves a personal and poignant tale of what it was like to live through the blackouts, rationing, war bond drives, and immense changes as both military and manufacturing took over our sleepy city by the sea. Photographs from the San Diego History Center and from private collections illustrate these topics. There will be time for attendees to share their memories from this fascinating period in national and local history.
