Join the international phenomenon that is The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever by donning a red dress and dancing in the Pacific Beach Library's park to Kate Bush’s song “Wuthering Heights,” the 1978 song based on Emily Bronte’s classic 1847 novel! Before we meet up for the most wuthering performance of our joyous dance on Sunday, July 30th at 2pm, you may want to find a red dress and learn the moves.
You can learn the choreography online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FFUyBU26bU explains the steps, or https://youtu.be/IziOMwBu7ws has a professional dancer), or we invite you to join us at any of the in-person Wuthering Heights Dance Rehearsals at the Pacific Beach Library. We'll start by slowly introducing the steps then combining them into the dance. Come ready to laugh while learning the choreography for the most wuthering dance ever, in workshops led by PB Library staff:
- Mondays at 6pm on the Taylor Greene, facing Dawes Ave (July 3, 10, 17 & 24)
- Saturday, July 8 at 3pm on the Taylor Greene, facing Dawes Ave
- Saturday, July 22 at 3pm in the PB Library's Community Room (will also be livestreamed)
- Sunday, July 30 at 1pm on the Taylor Greene, facing Dawes Ave -- one last rehearsal, before our performance at 2pm
This event is inspired by our Wuthermothers, Shambush, who created and presented this event in 2013.
