This interactive event introduces the concepts of engineering to kids of all ages by challenging them to build the tallest tower out of marshmallows and pasta sticks.

Join us in the library garden to decorate a pot, plant seeds, and take your work of gardening art home!

Soar into fun!  Discover Bird Adaptations and Design your own unique species with a Build-A-Bird Activity!  This workshop is a fun way to learn about our neighbors in the sky--for ages 5 and up!

We supply the Legos, you provide the creativity!  Children ages 6-12 are invited to unleash their imaginations and build!  This program will meet on the first and third Monday of each month.

Science Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

Young explorers, dive into chemistry, biology, and physics with our FUN classes at the Rancho Bernardo Branch Library, led by passionate high school students eager to share their love for science! 

Embark on an inspiring culinary adventure with Kid Friendly Recipes Cooking Demo, a transformative workshop designed for youth eager to embrace a healthier lifestyle while savoring delicious food.

Prepare to be amazed! Explore how magicians use the principles of science to develop illusions, make paper disappear into thin air, create balls of water, and pull a (stuffed) rabbit out of a hat!

This is an in-person program.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Come drop in to play various STEAM games in our downstairs children's area. Learn about programming, circuits, and more!

Bring your ideas to life at our Mobile Maker Lab in the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library. Learn to use various programs and equipment  such as our 3D printer and die cut machine powered by Silhouette Studio.
