Learn about the basic foundation of Environmental Sciences! This course builds an understanding of the living world, environmental issues, and sustainability through engaging activities, demos, and instruction.

Calling all LEGO Builders!

Put your engineering and problem-solving skills to the test by taking part in unique LEGO building challenges or let your imagination run wild and build your own special LEGO creations.

Join us for our weekly LEGO Club program! Promoting STEAM and creativity, let your kids express their inner engineer! Designs will be displayed in the children's library stacks.

Learn about gravity and air resistance as you build a simple helicopter craft out of paper and a paperclip. For ages 5 and up.

Come build your creations while making new friends!  All Legos will be supplied by the Paradise Hills Branch Library.  Your creation may even be featured in our display case! 

Young explorers, dive into science with our FUN classes at the Rancho Bernardo Branch Library, led by passionate high school students eager to share their love for science!

Parking at the Library:

Come join us for Lego Club on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 4pm - 5pm! The library provides the Lego for creative free build. Creations are displayed at the library for 2 weeks. All materials must stay at the library.

Join the County of San Diego's Vector Control Program crew for a short educational lesson about mosquitoes, a fun story, an activity where you can use magnifiers to look at real insects, and a craft in which you can make your own mosquito headband

Join us every other Thursday for fun sensory play, arts & craft, & fun games. For kids age 3 to 8 years old. 

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Join our Library Nature Scouts for a recurring adventure inspired by citizen science!

Come drop in to play various STEAM games in our downstairs children's area. Learn about programming, circuits, and more!

Bring your ideas to life at our Mobile Maker Lab in the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library. Learn to use various programs and equipment  such as our 3D printer and die cut machine powered by Silhouette Studio.
