In this highly interactive, music-based storytime program, children have the opportunity to make music, learn beats, and dance and move to the sounds. All ages are welcome to attend.

Sensory play. Join us outside to play with our new sensory tables. Mud play, sand play, and more! Program takes place in the garden, past the patio.

Toddler Story Time in Kensington Park will be held at 10:30am. There will be stories, songs, and bubbles! Join the fun!

Join us as we read, sing, and dance this special Storytime, which encourages a love of reading and builds essential early literacy skills. A unique craft follows each Storytime.

Children learn simple signing in a fun, storytime format.

Bring the kiddos to the library every Thursday morning for a variety of play!  Storytime, crafts, dancing, songs and most of all FUN!

Recommended for ages 2-5, this storytime program includes books, songs, games, and early literacy fun! A to-go craft will be provided at the end.

Join us in a family program; you’ll explore original, playful songs, classic nursery rhymes, rhythm, and movement possibilities with shakers, drums, scarves, parachute play, and bubbles.

Kensington-Normal Heights Librarians will share stories, songs, and bubbles with children ages 3-5. Older and younger siblings welcome! Bring a blanket to sit on the grass. 

The Daytime Book Club meets monthly to discuss the selected title - interesting and fun conversations ensue!

These Storytimes, good for kids ages 4 to 6, are fun, kinetic, and humorous experiences!  I make it a point not just to read books, but to perform them as well!

Clown around with Sparkles the Clown in this fun program that includes magic and bubbles!  An interactive show that ends with a few of the children inside a giant bubble.

This entertaining and educational Signing Story Time with Jennifer Duncan is infused with joy and American Sign Language signs.

Meet for a different book selection every third Tuesday of the month. Read the book The Invisible Life of Addie Larue  by V.E. Schwab and then join a lively book discussion here at Balboa Branch Library.

Come learn a new skill or start up an old hobby while you make new friends! Have you ever found yourself needing to keep your hands busy while you sit, or in need of some way to express yourself through art? 

Work on your flexibility, strength building and quiet your mind with functional movement practice. Participate at your own ability. Wear flexible clothing and bring any preferred yoga equipment.

Library for All: Hangout is a monthly program for adults with special needs to chat, color, play games or make puzzles. People of all abilities are welcome to participate in this event.

The Digital Navigator Program offers free, one-on-one assistance to help improve computer skills or get basic tech support.
