Tiny Tots University Storytimes Celebrates Filipino American History Month! 

Toddler Story Time in Kensington Park will be held at 10:30am. There will be stories, songs, and bubbles! Join the fun!

Babies and toddlers ages 0-18 months and their caregivers will enjoy songs, lap-sits and rhymes that foster early literacy skills.

Join us for "Sign-a-Story Circle Time" with Baby Sign Language Basics author, Monta Z. Briant. Parents learn how to use ASL signs for early communication with their babies through stories, songs, and other fun activities.

Recommended for ages 2-5, this storytime program includes books, songs, games, and early literacy fun! A to-go craft will be provided at the end. For this particular program, we will do fun Halloween related activities!

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Storytime

Kensington-Normal Heights Librarians will share stories, songs, and bubbles with children ages 3-5. Older and younger siblings welcome! Bring a blanket to sit on the grass. 

A 45-minute Storytime for young children including books and music with the addition of American Sign Language signs with Jennifer Duncan from Signs at Play.

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

The Daytime Book Club meets monthly to discuss the selected title - interesting and fun conversations ensue!

New members and guests are always welcome!

The Friends of the San Diego Public Library will be hosting its next book sale at the University Heights Branch Library at 4193 Park Blvd (at Howard Ave), San Diego 92103. Enter at the Sprouts parking lot entrance.

Baby Play & Learn is designed to support the development of children ages 0-24 months. This program includes stories, rhymes, songs, and movement activities  followed by an open play time.

Whether you’re new to creative writing or have been at it for years, all are welcome to join this drop-in class. You’ll learn techniques to polish your writing craft in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Join us every Wednesday at the Ocean Beach Library to read to DK, our bearded dragon or Darwin, our Ball Python. Practice your skills and gain confidence by reading to these enthusiastic and non-judgmental reptiles.

In February 2010, the McStay family went mysteriously missing from their Fallbrook home. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office investigated their disappearance as a missing persons’ case because they could find no evidence of foul play.

Ruff Readers is a program that encourages children to increase their reading skills and self-confidence by reading out loud to a therapy dog. Join Ms. Terrie and her dog Star in the children's area.
