Join us for a book talk and signing with local author Lindsey Salatka as she presents her new semi-autobiographical novel based on her life changing decision to move the family to Shanghai. Fish Heads and Duck Skin will resonate with anyone who has ever wondered who they are, why they were put here, and how they ever lived before eating pan-fried pork buns.

About the Author: Lindsey Salatka is an author, editor, and ghost-writer. She currently serves as the Director of the KidsWrite! Children’s Writing Contest and is on the Advisory Board of the San Diego Writers Festival. Her best-selling debut novel, Fish Heads and Duck Skin was published on July 20, 2021 by She Writes Press. Her writing has been featured in Shanghai Family Magazine, Urbanatomy: Shanghai, Art in the Time of Unbearable Crisis, and volumes 3, 4, and 5 of Shaking the Tree: Brazen. Short. Memoir. She won a coveted space in the San Diego Memoir Showcase in 2020 and 2021. When she’s not working on her next novel, she loves to read, hike, and watch her teenage daughters grow up in a suburban American way while simultaneously wishing she was still riding them through the streets of Shanghai on her bike.
