Welcome to Code, Create & Explore: Python, Artificial Intelligence, Art, Games and More! For upper elementary and middle school students interested in exploring Computer Science through hands-on learning in areas like basic Python coding, game development, AI concepts, and creative coding.

Introduction to Coding: In this lesson, students will learn the basics of coding with Java. Topics such as how to display text, store data, run loops, and more will be covered. Students will also have the opportunity to combine all the skills they learn from this class to create a simple text-based game! This class is beginner friendly, and we will be using the website replit.com, which is a free online coding platform. Students are recommended to sign up on Replit beforehand and bring the computer they signed up with.

About the presenters:

The Code, Create, & Explore team is made up of passionate high school students from various STEM clubs at Canyon Crest Academy. We aim to introduce middle schoolers to computer science through fun activities in coding, AI, game development, and more. Our goal is to spark curiosity and build skills, inspiring a passion for learning that students can carry into any future path.
