The Great Influenza and COVID-19: Parallels and Predictions (Class #274)

Influenza and coronaviruses are different from each other but the lessons that they taught, the medical advances they spawned and their impact on culture, society and politics have strong similarities. What they are, how they affect us and how they did and do influence medical science continue to stimulate the intellect.

Lectures at the Library is a programming series of FREE classes with San Diego Oasis. These lectures are meant to encourage learning, engagement and deep thinking about current events. Please take a look at what other topics we will be covering over the next couple of months. Feel free to take part in all or some of them.
