The Celtic Civilization

During the first millennium before the Common Era, the Celtic Civilization extended across Europe from the British Isles to Turkey.  Who were the Celts?  What kind of culture did they have?  What is their legacy?  This lecture will explore those questions and determine the origin of the Celts, and consider their prehistory, history, material culture, languages, and belief systems. The presentation will conclude with a look at the Celtic Peoples of today many of whom have descendants in America.
