The San Diego Black Artist Collective celebrates Black Freedom with a Juneteenth storytime series at the San Diego Public Library! Join engaging BAC storytellers reading some of your favorite children’s books. Today Rev. Alyce Smith-Cooper will be reading The Patchwork Quilt  by Valerie Flournoy and illustrated by Jerry Pinkney at the San Diego Central Library.  

No registration required. Tune into the SDPL Virtual Hub at 10am to watch!


Rev. Alyce Smith-Cooper, African-American ancestral storyteller, author and actor, provides healings, motivational and diversity training sessions. As an ancestral storyteller, she was widely recognized for creating cultural understandings in such wide ranging venues as the Old Globe Theatre, corporate and government classrooms (MCI, FBI), the Wild Animal Park, and the Bethel African-Methodist Episcopal Church.
