Presented by Divya Sitaraman, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Psychological Sciences, University of San Diego.

Sleep and wake are fundamental behavioral states important for survival, and universal in animals with nervous systems. In this talk, we will explore if studies of genes, neurons and circuits in animal models can illuminate how we balance rest and activity and engage in different behaviors in an unpredictable world.
