Kids K through 8: having trouble with that homework?  Need a little help?  Our friendly Homework Coaches will provide assistance and guide you through your school assignments.

Stop by and read to some fluffy friends! Join us as we host the San Diego Humane Society to promote literacy! They'll be stopping by with some furry companions that are itching to hear the next story!

Join us for a Bilingual Hindi-English Story Time, music, crafts and play!

Join us for Saturday morning Storytime.

Volunteers from AARP's Tax-Aide program will help you prepare and file your income taxes.  Saturdays through April 12, 2025.  

Join City Balle of San Diego for a "A Book and a Ballerina!" Enjoy listening to a read-aloud story, hearing from a professional ballerina, and learning some basic dance steps.

Join the knitting and crochet circle. Improve your skills in these traditional art forms.  Bring your project for social crafting!

Our classes can help teach you how to be confident with your devices. 

Class Structure: 

A bilingual storytime in English and Spanish. Together we will enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories.

Saturday is Stay and Play in Kensington Park. Bring a blanket to sit on and get ready for music, toys, and bubbles! Recommended for ages 1-5. Older siblings are welcome to join in on the fun!   

Travel the world through different art techniques and styles on the second and fourth Saturday of each month, alongside professional artist Mel Clarkston.

These Storytimes, good for kids ages 4 to 6, are fun, kinetic, and humorous experiences!  I make it a point not just to read books, but to perform them as well!

Use science to crack a case! Learn about the science techniques used to investigate and analyze crime scene evidence. 

Presented by Mad Science of San Diego. 

Join us every Saturday from 10am-noon for Lego and Rokenbok Club! Patrons will be able to build at their own pace.

We will provide a lego square to build on and patrons can continue to build on it week after week. 

Join us for drawing club! Whether you are passionate about improving your skills, love art or just want to sketch and get inspired this is the place for you. All skill levels welcome, club is led by one of our talented volunteers.

The City of San Diego and the San Diego Futures Foundation are offering FREE Digital Navigator drop-in services.

Join this drop-in knitting group where knitters of all skill levels meet and knit. Bring your work in progress and share in the knitting community.

Learn to knit or bring your WIP's.  Materials will be provided. 

Engage with local health organizations to discover their wellness programs, services, and upcoming events at our Health Services Fair.

The Page Turners title will be discussing Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver.

Join us at the City Heights Performance Annex theater to see a FREE workshop reading of ORPHEUS, a new musical by Aaron William Fields.

This engaging program will immerse children in the joys of learning through play while nurturing critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Do you like manga and anime? Join us every Saturday in the Teen’s Area of the Mira Mesa Library for fun activities and a chance to discuss your favorite titles with other fans!

In this “mysterious” program, students use chemistry, physics and observation skills to piece together evidence and crack the case.

Are you or do you know a kid who's crazy about reptiles? Join the San Diego Herpetological Society's Junior Herp Club at the OB Library for a chance to connect with others, meet and learn about some great reptiles, do a fun craft, and more!

All levels of players are welcome. There will be instruction for beginners and opportunities for kids to play against other kids at their own level. Geared to Grades 1-5.
