Tours are designed for kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers.

Tai Chi Moving for Better Balance (Tai Ji Quan) has been shown to improve balance and mobility and reduce the risk of falls.  People of all ability levels are welcome.  This class can be conducted from a seated or standing position.&nbsp

Recommended for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-school age kids, this simple dance program will feature popular songs. Families, it’s time to get your groove on!

Read along and sing for this fun interactive storytime. We will read picture books, move our bodies, act out stories, and sing fun songs and silly rhymes to build our skills with words and language.

Get help on the computers and with your digital devices from a Digital Navigator every Tuesday! They will be located in the computer lab and around the printer.

Feeling forgetful? Preserving your mental abilities as you get older is easier than you might think — and it can even be fun. Stimulating your mind by playing games and learning new skills can help keep your brain healthy as you age.

SUMMER ENRICHMENT!

The Teen IDEA Lab is a space to be used for creative projects that require specialized equipment and software.

Featuring a music studio, Makerspace, and iMac workstations and so much more!

Join us every Monday for LEGO Power Hour! Build your own creations to display in our library.  Program will take place in our study rooms 3 and 4. 

Teens are invited to learn and practice their cooking skills while making simple and fun recipes.

This is an in-person program. Registration is encouraged.

Join us on the second Monday of each month for a fun book discussion and craft for kids aged 8-12.

Let's get creative with Miss Miki! Color, paint, draw, and create a variety of fun and easy arts and crafts projects! All skill levels welcome. Adult assistance recommended.

Grab a chalk and draw! We have a rainbow of colors and all shades in between for you to create your one-of-kind colorful art piece to beautify the library's patio.  

Join in on a fun filled afternoon of crafting. Materials provided. Designed for grades K - 3rd.

The Teen Game Room is open! Come check out our Nintendo Switch and PS5. Teens regularly play Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Fortnite, Gang Beasts, Marvel Rivals, NBA 2K and more. 

Enjoy crafts, mini-games, and puzzles taken from various Legend of Zelda games, and Zelda themed trivia events in the Mira Mesa Community Room.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Come build your creations while making new friends!  All Legos will be supplied by the North University Community Branch Library.  Your creation may even be featured in our display case!

Actors from Trinity Theatre Co. will read Doug Unplugged by Dan Yaccarino and then perform the story as a play! Children are encouraged to participate. After the show, stay for a craft!
