Astrobiology: The Search for Life in the Universe

Presented by Dr. Neil Farber

                                     Astrobiology: The Search for Life
People have often pondered the question of whether we are alone in the
universe. More than seeking intelligent life, a fundamental question is whether life
of any form exists on other planets or moons. This talk will examine how NASA is
seeking out the possibility of life on other worlds—from planets that orbit other
stars, to planets and moons in our own Solar System. The answers may also give us
understanding of how life came to pass on Earth.

This lecture will be presented by Neil J. Farber, MD, who is a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador.  Dr. Farber, a Professor Emeritus of Medicine at UCSD, practiced general internal medicine for 40 years, teaching, researching and providing patient care initially on the East Coast, and more recently at UCSD. Dr. Farber has been a Docent at the San Diego Air & Space Museum for the past six years.
