Join City Ballet of San Diego for "A Book and a Ballerina!" Enjoy listening to a read-aloud, hearing from a professional ballerina, and learning some basic dance steps.

Sensory and early literacy play for little learners ages 1–5 and their caregivers.

Please join us for storytime and craft every Saturday morning in the Children's Area at 10:00AM.

Library for All is a monthly arts and crafts program for adults with special needs. People of all abilities are welcome to participate in this event.

This month's craft is PAPER PLATE BUTTERFLIES.

Zentangle is a form of meditative art that involves creating intricate designs using repetitive patterns. It is a way to help people focus, relax, and find inner peace through drawing.

Learn, play, and create with LEGOs!

Children can build with LEGOs and display their creations in the library.

Join us on the last Wednesday of every month as we make hand-crafted cards using various methods. Participants will work with a variety of textured paper, die cuts, embossed paper and other media to create cards that are hand-crafted by you!

 Let's get creative with Perler Beads! You can make keychains, coasters, necklaces, bracelets, or ornaments by creating any designs using little beads bonded together with heat.  It's easy, lots of fun, and even meditative.

Stretch your imagination and discover the artist within you've always known existed! Create fabulous crafts! In this program, get detailed instructions on how to make a craft you'll be able to take home!

Make your own pop-up paper flowers with paper-spring stems. For ages 4 and up.

STEAM every other Tuesday with library staff as we take on a unique science or art project!  All supplies provided.  Grades K—5^th.

Come to the library for Arts and Crafts for children 5 and up.  No registration needed and materials are provided.

Join us and local artists Toshwerks for a fun, hands-on DIY crafty project recommended for ages 8 and up: a Lucky Cat Keychain. Celebrate Asian American Pacific islander Month by creating your own maneki-neko keychain with Shrinky Dinks.

Create a piece of art using any medium, inspired by black poets. It will be included in the library’s Juneteenth Zine.

Assemble your own pair of 3D printed earrings. 

One pair per participant, while supplies last. First come, first served. 

For teens, ages 12-18.

Join us every Tuesday from 5-5:30pm for Create! At the Library, featuring a new craft each week. This program is for youth aged 5-11, that will develop fine motor skills and creativity. 

It’s the end of spring and birds are everywhere. 

Build and paint your own bird feeder then enjoy their beauty.

Bring your ideas to life at our Mobile Maker Lab in the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library. Learn to use various programs and equipment  such as our 3D printer and die cut machine powered by Silhouette Studio.
