Join us for a Lifeguard Read-Aloud session! Engage with Lifeguards, participate in interactive activities, and learn how to be safe at the beach and bay.  This program is perfect to introduce toddlers to beach safety this Summer!

Get crafty at the library every week! This week we will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Family Arts by making our own Mexican mirrors! All supplies will be provided.

Volunteers from the Rancho Bernardo High School Art for All Club will instruct participants on how to create a different work of art each month. This month's activity is paper quilled flowers.

This program is aimed at ages 13 and up.

Learn, play, and create with LEGOs!

Children can build with LEGOs and display their creations in the library.

Join us on the last Wednesday of every month as we make hand-crafted cards using various methods. Participants will work with a variety of textured paper, die cuts, embossed paper and other media to create cards that are hand-crafted by you!

Celebrate Día de los Niños with us! Try making a Pablo Picasso-inspired painted bull or doing some scratch art. Our friends from Smile and Paint will also be here providing face painting!

Students will learn about natural pigment and printmaking through flower pounding, the processes of pressing or smashing a natural plant or flower into a piece of fabric to create a photogenic print through the natural pigment within the plant.&nb

 Let's get creative with Perler Beads! You can make keychains, coasters, necklaces, bracelets, or ornaments by creating any designs using little beads bonded together with heat.  It's easy, lots of fun, and even meditative.

Create beautiful patterns and designs through the processes of creating “canes” with colorful polymer clay. Working on a smaller scale, this process teaches pattern and design sculpturally that can be achieved through cutting and slicing.

Miss Miki teaches kiddos how to make fun and seasonal crafts to take home and enjoy! (Children Ages 6-12)

Join us to make you own zipper pouch! Instruction and materials will be provided.  This program is for ages 12 to 18.

Grab a chalk and draw! We have a rainbow of colors and all shades in between for you to create your one-of-kind colorful art piece to beautify the library's patio.  

Stretch your imagination and discover the artist within you've always known existed! Create fabulous crafts! In this program, get detailed instructions on how to make a craft you'll be able to take home!

STEAM every other Tuesday with library staff as we take on a unique science or art project!  All supplies provided.  Grades K—5^th.

Celebrate Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros with a fun and easy book themed craft!

Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves laying an object on paper coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light and washing with water to create stunning white and Prussian blue images.

Join us for an hour of crocheting at the library! You can use our supplies, or bring your own projects. Ask questions, learn the basics, or talk to other crocheters while practicing the craft. 

Join us every Thursday and grow your crafting skills at Skyline Hills Branch Library. 

Join us in making your own soapstone bead bracelet. Participants will learn the basics of archaeology, and how experimenting with crafts can help archaeologists understand the artifacts they encounter.

Everything is Awesome at LEGO CLUB FRIDAYS!!!  Imagine, Build, Create and display your work for everyone to see!

Come celebrate Comic Book Day and Star Wars Day with Teen Center. Make your own capes and mini light sabers. 

Join for an introductory machine sewing class where participants will make a zippered pouch.  If you have your own machine, please bring it so we can make library machines available to those without a machine.
